Description
|
The
demonstration will show probably the very first fully
functional
model-driven ERP solution with an REA application language.
The
solution provides business users, analysts, and end users a
high
level, precise language based on their familiar concepts in
which to model business processes. The fact that REA
concepts are more specific
than usual modeling concepts such as activity or task,
radically
increases the amount of information in the model while
preserving its
simplicity. Not only the REA application language
considerably
simplifies programming of business applications, but also
makes it
dramatically easier for business users to express the
business tasks
they'd like the computer to perform. The model described in
the REA language is executable, that is, it user interface,
data layer and all
other necessary components of the ERP system are generated
from the
REA model, without any need for additional programming.
The architecture of the solution is based on the ideas
described in
the book by Pavel Hruby, Christian V. Scheller and Jesper
Kiehn:
Model-Driven Design Using Business Patterns, Springer, 2006.
Participants should be familiar with the REA concepts. Basic
knowledge
of XML is useful but not essential.
